Ingredients
  

Casserole Base

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cans tuna, drained Use solid white tuna for better texture.
  • 1 cup peas, frozen or fresh
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Divided into two portions.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Noodles

  • 8 oz egg noodles Cook according to package instructions.

Topping

  • 1 cup potato chips, crushed For added crunch.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, tuna, peas, half of the cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the cooked noodles to the mixture and stir until combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Top with the remaining cheese and crushed potato chips.

Cooking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For long-term storage, freeze portions and defrost in the refrigerator overnight before reheating.
