Ingredients

  • 450 g lean ground beef (90% lean)
  • 240 g cooked white rice (about 1 cup cooked per serving)
  • 30 ml soy sauce (2 tbsp) Use low-sodium for a healthier option.
  • 15 ml sesame oil (1 tbsp)
  • 4 g garlic, minced (1 clove)
  • 5 g ginger, grated (1 tsp)

Toppings

  • 20 g sliced green onions
  • 5 g sesame seeds Optional: toast for extra flavor.
  • 100 g optional steamed veggies

Instructions
 

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Drain excess fat by pouring it off or using paper towels.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet, and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in soy sauce and stir to combine, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve the ground beef over fluffy cooked rice and add desired toppings.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Freeze cooked beef in portions for up to 3 months.
