Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Boneless, skinless chicken breasts Evenly placed in bottom of slow cooker
  • 8 ounces Cream cheese Softened at room temperature
  • 1 packet Ranch seasoning mix Sprinkled over chicken
  • 6 slices Bacon Cooked until crispy and crumbled
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese Sprinkled on top before serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook bacon until crispy in a skillet over medium heat for 8-10 minutes or microwave on a paper towel-lined plate for 4-5 minutes.
  • Place chicken breasts evenly in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Soften cream cheese at room temperature for 15-20 minutes, then dollop evenly over the chicken.
  • Sprinkle ranch seasoning mix on top.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until chicken is tender.
  • Shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker with two forks and stir to combine with the creamy sauce.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon over shredded chicken. Cover and cook for another 10-15 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Give a final stir and serve warm over rice, pasta, or in a sandwich bun.

Notes

For extra tang, stir in 1 tablespoon of lemon juice when shredding for a flavorful boost.
