  • 2 medium fresh jalapeños, chopped Seeds removed for less heat if desired.

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper Adjust according to taste.
  • optional - bacon crumbles For topping, omit for vegetarian.

Preparation

  • Add cottage cheese, softened cream cheese, and Greek yogurt to food processor and pulse 3-4 times to break everything down.
  • Blend continuously for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth with no visible curds.
  • Add shredded cheddar, chopped jalapeños, and garlic powder. Pulse 5-6 times just until combined, keeping jalapeño pieces visible throughout.
  • Taste and adjust heat level, then season with salt and pepper to taste, starting with 1/4 tsp salt.
  • Blend for 10 seconds to incorporate seasonings evenly.
  • Transfer to serving bowl and top with additional shredded cheese, jalapeño slices, and bacon crumbles if desired.
  • Serve chilled with vegetables, crackers, or pita chips for best flavor.

Notes

For milder heat, remove seeds and ribs from jalapeños. For smoky depth, use pickled jalapeños and reduce fresh jalapeño by half.
