  • 800 g baby potatoes Use baby potatoes for even cooking.
  • 400 g smoked sausage Slice into 1 cm rounds.
  • 150 g sharp cheddar cheese Sprinkle cheese for the final baking.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil Adjust based on dietary preference.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
  • 3 tbsp sour cream To drizzle before serving.
  • 10 g fresh parsley For garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Allow full preheat for at least 10 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine the baby potatoes, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and ranch seasoning mix. Toss to coat the potatoes evenly.
  • Slice the smoked sausage into 1 cm rounds and add it to the bowl with the potatoes. Stir well.

Baking

  • Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and golden.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top. Return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  • Drizzle with sour cream and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months. When reheating, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes or pan-fry slices for a crisp edge.
