Crunchy, cheesy, and flavorful twists that are perfect for game day snacking.

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 medium jalapeños, diced (remove seeds to reduce heat)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (113 g)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (2 g)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder (2 g)
  • 1 beaten egg for egg wash
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 12 strips.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, cheddar, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place a spoonful of the jalapeño mixture onto one end of each pastry strip.
  5. Twist the strips to encase the filling and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve hot as a delicious appetizer.

Notes

Chill the filled strips briefly before twisting to prevent leaking. Perfect for scaling up for larger gatherings.
