Indulge in this rich and decadent Parisian hot chocolate, made with real chocolate for an unmatched depth of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 200 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa recommended), finely chopped
  • 1-2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Pour 4 cups of whole milk into a medium saucepan and heat it over medium-low until it’s warm but not boiling (about 5 minutes).
  2. Stir in 200 g of finely chopped dark chocolate until completely melted and combined with the milk.
  3. Increase the heat to medium and bring the mixture to a slow simmer, stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes until it reaches your desired thickness.
  4. Turn off the heat and whisk in 1-2 tablespoons of brown sugar, adjusting to taste.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently, adding a splash of milk if needed.
