Transform ordinary sliders into spine-tingling creatures perfect for Halloween parties, featuring juicy beef patties and pickle tongues.

Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns (brioche or potato rolls)
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 6 slices of cheese (white cheddar or provolone)
  • 12 small dill pickle spears
  • 24 small black olives, pitted and halved
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Toothpicks for assembly

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into 12 small patties.
  2. Cook patties in a skillet over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side, adding cheese during the last minute.
  3. Lightly toast the slider buns until golden brown.
  4. Add halved black olives on top of the melted cheese for ‘eyes’.
  5. Insert pickle spears between the buns for tongues.
  6. Secure sliders with toothpicks and add ketchup for ‘blood’ effects before serving.

Notes

For healthier alternatives, use turkey or plant-based patties. Use reduced-fat cheese and whole grain buns for nutritional benefits.
