A creamy, protein-forward casserole combining ground beef, creamy soup, and frozen hash browns, baked until bubbly and golden.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups frozen hash browns
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, hash browns, half of the cheddar cheese, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  5. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and golden on top.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
