A rich, creamy peppermint hot chocolate that warms you from the inside out, perfect for chilly days.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

Instructions

  1. Combine cocoa, sugar, water, and salt in a medium saucepan.
  2. Over medium heat, stir constantly until the mixture boils.
  3. Cook, stirring constantly for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the milk and heat, but do not boil.
  5. Remove from heat, add vanilla and peppermint extract, and stir well.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat gently and add a splash of milk if thickened.
