An easy yet indulgent chicken dish featuring tender chicken in a rich, garlicky cream sauce.

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • Salt
  • Garlic powder
  • Black pepper
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 6 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt, garlic powder, and pepper. Dredge in a mixture of flour and parmesan cheese.
  2. Heat oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Transfer to a warm plate.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion until softened. Add smashed garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth and let simmer until reduced by half, about 5 minutes.
  5. Lower the heat and stir in the cream, bringing it to a gentle simmer. Mix in parmesan cheese and adjust seasoning.
  6. Add chicken back to the skillet and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days. To reheat, warm gently with a splash of chicken broth.
