Creamy Cajun Chicken Penne Pasta

A bold, comforting pasta dish with a spicy kick that blends southern-inspired Cajun seasoning with rich cream and tender chicken.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne to al dente, drain and reserve 1 cup pasta water.
  2. Season and sear the chicken in olive oil, 3–4 minutes per side.
  3. Remove chicken, sauté garlic and deglaze with 1/4 cup pasta water.
  4. Add cream and Cajun seasoning, simmer 3–5 minutes, whisk in Parmesan.
  5. Return chicken and toss with penne, add pasta water to loosen sauce.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter dish, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half plus 1 tbsp flour. Experiment with spice levels according to preference.
