Quick and tender cookies made with sweetened condensed milk for a soft and chewy center.

Ingredients

  • 226 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 300 g sweetened condensed milk (approx 1 can)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (5 mL)
  • 360 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder (4 g)
  • 1/4 tsp salt (1.5 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized amounts of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For a high-protein variant, mix in chocolate chips or nuts, or use vegan substitutes if needed.
