A bold and creamy dish combining Cajun steak tips with rich Parmesan rigatoni, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 450 g rigatoni pasta
  • 450 g steak tips, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning, adjust to taste
  • 240 ml heavy cream
  • 80 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the rigatoni pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak tips with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add steak tips to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked to desired doneness.
  3. Lower the heat and add heavy cream to the skillet. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and combined, creating a creamy sauce.
  4. Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet and mix until well coated.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lower-fat version, replace heavy cream with half-and-half and cornstarch. For a vegetarian option, substitute steak tips with seared mushrooms.
