  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Avoid burning the butter, and allow cookie dough to rest in the fridge for better texture.
