A warm dessert made with baked spiced apples topped with a crunchy streusel-like mixture of oats, flour, and butter.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 150g oats
  • 100g flour
  • 100g brown sugar
  • 75g melted butter
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Spread the apple mixture evenly in a greased 9-inch baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Mix until crumbly, then sprinkle the topping mixture generously over the apples.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Can be made gluten-free by substituting regular flour with almond flour or a gluten-free blend.
